Time to make a pitch for Nicklas Backstrom?
He's been out with a neck injury since December 26, sustained while playing for Dynamo Moscow in the KHL.
I regret refusing an offer to acquire him, last season when he had concussion issues. Would you give up a high draft pick (potentially yielding Yakupov ... if he slips)? Backstrom wouldn't normally be available in my league, and I would love to have him, but the injury scares me. Would you make a pitch?
