I'm thinking McQuaid might offer the most value simply with plus/minus.

Agreed, out of the options you have to pick up, none of them are appealing in anything. Maybe keep an eye on Moore depending on where he signs if he signs.
As he's proven in the past in can put up some respectable numbers.

I also wouldn't be too quick to let go of Prust, as I think he'll get a solid chance in Montreal to contribute. That said McQuaid is most defiantly the most attractive option.

McQuaid is the only one I'd even consider adding. He's similar to Prust so would depend which you need more - LW or D?

Just to add to the discussion and hopefully help kluu as well, does Stewart have a shot as a top six role in Carolina given Ruutu's injury? Or is he more suited to 3rd/4th line? I don't know anything about him.

Also, kluu, depending on your choice, would it make a difference if you chose a forward or a defencemen e.g. in terms of who you could play more?

I would think Tlusty, Bowman, Dalpe, Boychuk, Larose and even Welsh or Nodl will get their chances long before Stewart. So I don't see any chances of that. He's simply not good enough and has gotten enough chances in his career to prove it already. He'll be a 4th liner or more likely sits on the press box most of the time.

Yea I also had some interest in Stewart, or even Blake. Blake/Koivu/Selanne, even though old, can still play some hockey. Maybe with the shorten season, could be productive?

It would be preferable to pick up a forward. I'm slightly short a winger and have one too many dmen at the moment

Blake is currently UFA and I can't see Anaheim re-signing him.

Is this a Roto or H2H league? Do you have any specific category needs?
