Interesting that with other guys coming back to North America in case the lockout is over, Letang just signed.

Obviously he'll have an out-clause. Seems to me he's taking advantage of the fact other guys are coming home so that he can guarantee he gets some games in if the season is cancelled.

Letang want to be in game shape, and he will be back in North America in 24 hours if NHL season begin. If not, he will play some hockey with pro players this winter.

Good point, but there's been a lot of speculation since November that things have been "close". So he might be as fed up with the false optimism as us.
