Default 2013 Fantasy League Resolutions

As 2013 approaches what are your resolutions for your fantasy leagues this coming year?

Mine are quite simple.

- Find a hockey league to join or start. I am a free agent at the moment lol.

- Be committed long term

- Learn from many mistakes in 2011 & 2012.

- Get back to how I used to do things from 2002-2009.

- Make it fun again

- Be an owner of Jonathan Toews again

What are your resolutions? This should get interesting haha.

I love resolutions in general. This is perfect.

1. No trades for the sake of trading (especially in my league that has a limit).
2. No trading injured players -- never works.
3. Win.

Keep on winning. Just won my football league today. Won one of my hockey leagues last season. I think I could do it again if we get going here lol.

Look better for other teams needs before sending out a proposal (in order to not piss other managers off).

Keep selling prospects for real contributors to the guys who are in wait for the next big thing.

Not to pick up any more Isles. Not an Isles fan but somehow I ended up with Streit, Tavares, Okposo and Niederreiter (on the farm). That's far too many eggs in one basket for my taste. And not the best basket on top of that....

Related to the one above: Not to pick up Rick di Pietro. Never ever.

Keep dominating (I know, this sounds pompous...)

Not a fantasy hockey but a hockey related resolution: to keep me from buying NHL13 untill the season has actually started. My little protest...

Great topic.
#1 Get back to the way I used to analyze players- write out 3-year stats, projections, and then rank and tier players- Especially for baseball.
#2 Find or create a 12-man dynasty, salary cap baseball league with shallow minors
#3 Don't join any leagues that I am not close to 100% on the settings. I've done this twice in the last year and have lost interest in the league.
#4 Do more mock drafts.
#5 Find a league of leagues

First time in the Lounge... kinda nice down here!

My resolution is to try and continue my boycott of NHL related revenue contribution for at least 1 month past the puck drop... 3 months if the puck drop is after September 2013.

Two days ago I got into an light argument with some guy at the mall who was buying at least three or four Flyers items - not to mention he was wearing a Flyers hat, shirt and Jacket. I asked him if there was a chance he could wait until after they start playing again... Not sure if he was trying to make me feel like a traitor, but he told me that he's not turning on his team. This, I imagine, is partially why the NHL doesn't have such urgency to get the game back on the ice.... WTF!? The guy was clueless...and it was plain as day that he was a huge Flyers fan.

The worst part of this lockout is that my pastime has become as lethal a chat as talking politics... PLEASE give me back my hockey!

If you do go ahead with #2, let me know. I'm in need of a full keeper baseball league. I think it would be interesting with a luxury tax (picks perhaps) instead of a hard cap.

Also agree with #3. I've done it and haven't lasted very long in the league at all.
