Yep, I'd make that deal. JT is the best player in the deal, and that would get it done for me. I also like the fact you are getting Hedman in this deal. If you chose to keep him, I think it would really benefit you (especially if he continues his NHL success from late last season and KHL success from this season.

Keep 2 defenseman... you have JG, MDZ as well as Schultz. I'd make the deal.

I absolutely love Tavares (drafted him at #6 in two consecutive multi-cat pools for this year)... but, I have to talk this one out.

This is a deep league, 18 teams x keep 11 = 198 players kept.
This shakes down to likely 130F, 40D, 30G.

It looks like you count 12F,4D,2G...
So the number of counting forwards are 216F, 72D, 36G.

I see the players like this:
95pts Tavares (+10 on Parise. *95pts is a pretty high number for Parise... 90 might be more reasonable, for most people.)
85pts Parise

60pts O.Jokinen (yes, I think he'll have a nice year)
60pts Pacioretty

35pts Hedman
45pts J.Schultz (+10 on Hedman)

40pts Nino
55pts Oshie (+15 on Nino)

It's a very close trade.
Many of us are big on Tavares... but he's still stuck on a sub-par Isles team with a lack of talent, while Parise has moved to a very nice line with Minnesota.

Even if Nino/Oshie are NOT keepers, I think I prefer the Parise side here, mostly due to the overall keeper depth (200 players) in this pool.

Although I love JT, I love Shultz's potential much more than that of Hedmans. I also think the side of Parise/Patches/Oshie will provide you with more points than JT/Nino/Jokinen. I wouldn't be parting with Schultz, but I do know you have to give up to get. I wouldn't do that deal. If you could replace Nino and Jokinen with a little more flavour, I might be more inclined to like the deal.

It's a keep 11... I'd make the deal...

I'd rather this keeper set (with the trade):

a kopitar
j benn
Tavares
j pavelski
Jokinen

----def----
MDZ
j gardiner
d kulikov
Hedman

----goalies----
o pavalec
j halak

Than this set (without the trade):
a kopitar
j benn
z parise
j pavelski
pacioretty

----def----
MDZ
j gardiner
d kulikov
j schultz

----goalies----
o pavalec
j halak

in the 11 keepers 2 of them must be keep

whitout trade my keeper are

kopitar, benn, parise, max pac ,pavelski, oshie and one in ladd, stafford or johansson
my def are MDZ and schultz with halal and pavalec

really hard to have 2 goods goalies in my league because 36 goalies are draft each year and only 30 teams in the league

When you list it like that, it further reinforces my preference of the parise side haha.

In my league, if I offered my Ollie jokinen to the maxpac owner straight up I would get laughed at. If I offered my Hedman to the owner of Justin Schultz I would get bitched at for low balling. Neither oshie or niņo are keepers but tj will most assuredly be at least twice as productive this year. So to give up so much on all those counts, the gap between JT and parise would have to be pretty substantial. It's not.

I think it wouldnt take long for you to regret this trade if you made it. Tavares is elite but his ceiling is around 100 pts. Parise has already shown us he is capable of 90+ and their age difference is negligible. All this points to a no go for me.

I agree JT is the best player in the deal but , I think that's a steep price for some equally potential offensive talent , one a d-man for Ed.!
