I was pretty embarrassed by our display tonight. We play like shit, then try to get back into the game by throwing reckless and unecessary hits. I don't know about you guys but I feel like Canadian hockey should be better than that.

How's about instead of trying to get noticed by throwing the hit that injures someone, you try to play skilled hockey??? Too old fashioned?

Seriously, did you watch the game or just the highlights? Lipons game misconduct was a hit to the head, but the same guy he hits comes out and scores on the 5 min PP so he really wasn't hurt too bad. Camara's hit was clean, the kid got rocked with his head down looking for the puck. They based the penalty on the injury, not on the hit. I am not sure what reckless hits you think were happening out there but most of the ones I saw were good solid hockey hits. Lipons was a penalty because of the hit to the head but in no way should have been a 5 min and game misconduct.

The only thing Canada had to be embarressed about today was their slow start. The first period was a brutal display of Canadian hockey.

This is emotional, sloppy, fun Jr hockey at its best.

Big hits, high emotion, suspect defense, cheap plays, players diving on every team (barf), reffing that rewards no body contact etc.

It is what it is. It's NOT the NHL - it's IIHF Jr hockey. It's been the same since the dawn of time.

Canada is never going to play differently and they get results playing this way, despite the fact that it also sometimes costs them. The last few years have been difficult on Canadian style hockey but people forget the years of domination playing this way as well.

The tears of the whiners is a beautiful thing. Still think Canada can win gold by obliterating players, playing up tempo hockey, and taking penalties!

Actually, I'm in a pretty good mood today

It's just two things that always piss me off.

1. Canadians playing dirty internationally, which they always do, especially juniors.
2. Doulos being a troll, which he always is these days.

Other than those two things, I'm good
