Benn for Letang?
12 team Keeper League (keep 13)
Dress 4c,4lw,4rw,6d,2g stats G,A,PIM,PPP,SOG....W,GAA,Saves Roster C: Tavares, Benn, lecavalier, Zajac LW: Ovechkin, B.Ryan, E.Kane, Clowe RW: Neal, Pavelski, Okposo, Purcell D: Boyle, Weber, Ehrhoff, Giordano, Carle, Coburn G: Rinne, Quick Bench: Mcdonald,Tarasenko, B.smith. looking to shore up my D....we dress 6 nightly, dont like the idea of dressing coburn on a regular basis. i like this move however letang is always hurt. is this a good move for me? thoughts? thanks in advance

Yeah I'd do it. Your team is stacked, and the gap between Coburn and Letang is a lot greater than the gap between Benn and McDonald, who I assume would be your replacement starting C.

Love Benn, and would hate to trade him away, that said I think moving Benn for Letang is a great deal for you.
With starting 6 D a night, and having a small amount of bench players, I feel that defense probably has a great deal of value in your league. With your scoring settings, I like Letang a lot, I feel like outside of Karlsson, Letang will probably be the next best dman to have in your league. Great trade for you, makes your team better.

I wouldn't do a one-for-one deal there, but I like your thought process of trying to acquire Letang. Yes, he missed 31 games last season. However, he's played at least 73 games in three out of the past four seasons. There shouldn't be that much concern regarding his health moving forward.
Furthermore, he's really starting to come into his own as an offensive-minded defenseman on a team with quite the talented power play unit. Can you acquire Letang and another player for Benn?

I love Letang and think he's an absolute beast and I think Benn will be awesome for many years as well.
This is a close deal. I think you can't really lose with either. With Smith on your farm, I'd stand pat. Even if Smith doesn't light it up points wise, you can still use him for his PIM production. I also wouldn't want to be in a position where I have to rely on MacDonald.

I'd keep Benn. Letang will be a top D producer but he has been getting banged up quite a bit recently - Benn is emerging as a star. On D you already have a couple huge pillars and a few rock-solid contributors. I also see Carle posting good numbers during his 2nd stint with the Bolts. B.Smith is just chomping at the bit and will be your #3 within 2 seasons.

I also keep Benn easily over Letang. I like both players but I think Benn is coming up to big breakout. With Smith on your bench I think you'll be just fine on D.
