Default Who would replace Gary?

Since there seems to be not much else to talk about, I figured I would ask the question. Who would replace Mr. Gary Bruce Bettman if or when he is fired/retires/gets Jimmy Hoffa'd? Would it be someone from already inside the organization like Daly?

Who ever it is, I just hope they actually give two shits about hockey.

Discuss.

A more charismatic, sociopathic lawyer. We will be worse off and not realize it because his appearance won't look so damn weasily and annoying.

It will probably be another lawyer with a connection. It depends on when Bettman decides to go. If it's in the next couple of years don't be surprised if it's someone the owners develop trust with during the mediation/lawsuit process. Keep an eye on Bettman's law firm.

Paulina Gretzky

The players would be more willing to have her sit on their faces.......I mean, they would be more willing to meet face to face during labour negotiations.

Daly, without a doubt. Been through all this shit, owners know him and like him. As far as I know players don't hate him as much as Bettman.

Probably someone from outside the NHL. Bettman was an NBA guy, but he made the NHL owners a lot of money. Owners would probably want to continue down that route.

Dear god neither of those guys! Daly is likely the odds on fav if he's still in favour when GB finally packs it in.

I would LOVE to see Wayne Gretzky as Commish of the NHL, but that would NEVER happen, too player oriented. One can dream though...

Super Mario?

Being a former player and an owner, he would see both sides of the coin.
