Potential World Championships
If there is no NHL season this year is there a chance we will see a World Championships with close to Olympic level rosters or do you guys figure that lots of guys will take a pass still?
Seems like with no playoffs that this could be a real good chance to see some high level hockey during that time for the first time since 2005.

how about some optimism buddy? :P
but ya you're probably onto something. could really make the worlds something to get excited about. I was excited last year when Subban joined the roster only to be crushed when he got injured and had to pull out.

Don't forget about the Spengler cup. I heard Bernier (G) has already confirmed his desire to play for Canada. Should be a very good , albeit a short tourney beginning boxing day.

I plan to watch. Altho it may be tough considering I'll be dead tired from the juniors and some of the games overlap.
That being said, the spengler doesn't have the same allure as the juniors or the WC. The stakes are much higher in the latter two.
