Considering everything going on recently, I'm thinking of dropping Selanne for C.Atkinson.

I'd like to do this now before news of a cancelled season, if it happens as we will probably close the door on waiver claims if the season is cancelled.

I will be dropping him regardless next year due to salary even if he does play one last season.

Looks like you've got a pretty strong team, and in a shortened season Selanne could really excel and help in a title run.

Personally I would hang on to Teemu and maybe have your finger on the trigger to get the Atkinson claim in immediately if the season is cancelled entirely.

This is the view I'm taking with Teemu. He'll be a great help in a shortened, possible-money-winning season, so I won't make a move until it's obvious the year is lost.

But I've already decided he ain't a keeper, no matter what he may do in a limited/shortened season.

Unfortunately, I think his trade value is extremely limited b/c no one knows where he goes from here

I really like Atkinson, so if push comes to shove I'd be tempted to make the move.

Are there other owners likely to grab Atkinson out from under you, or can you wait it out for another week or two when things are a bit more clear? If so, do as mentioned above and just have your trigger finger ready. If you absolutely had to decide by today - I'd make the move.

Another option may be to replace Palmieri with Atkinson to at least guarentee you have him, then deal with Teebag without it hanging over your head. Unless of course you value Palmieri more, but I'd rather CA.

Each one of them I have considered before I posted as well.

I may wait until after christmas to see what happens, but it is looking grim.

I may do the Palmieri move instead and then pick him back up for Selanne if the season is cancelled in Jan.
Palmieri was a late draft pickup so I don't see others interested in him.

You have my blessing here if you need to make this decision. But like the energizer bunny, TS just keeps going and going, and going. The break may have done him some good. I think we'll still have a short season, and would hold onto TS for now. He's still very reliable and proven. C.A is not.

I like the Plamieri drop for Atkinson.
