The newest line of bio-genetic treatments for MS is much more effective than anything ever seen before and has less in the way of side effects too. The only real downside, aside from a cost that would bankrupt normal people, is that they are immuno suppressive in nature, e.g. they'll make him more susceptible to things like the common cold, bronchitis etc and that those ailments will be more threatening to him than a normal person.
Hockey wise, I don't think this will immediately end his career, however it'd be really tough to see him as a starter for any significant duration of time.

Wow. That is rough. I find it humbling though, when he has that fighters mentality, despite how much MS can and will affect him in the future and he just wants to give it his all in spite of it.
