Hey guys, this is a big deal should either of us decide to do it.
So here's the trade: I give eberle, ericksson and letang for stamkos and Suter. Its a keep 8-4-1-1 league, goal and ppp heavy. tavares, eberle, kessel,ericksson,h.sedin,b.richards,heatley, hartnell, moulson, grabo, vrbata, Brière, s.gagner,Whitney (bn) m.johansson (ir) Chara, oel, letang, Myers, seabrook, timonen, Eliot (bn) QUick, craqford, neuburth (BN) Also have 5 1st rd picks (2,4,7,10,11..guessing the order) So, would you do this deal? |

In a heartbeat! Having Tavares AND Stamkos in a keep 8 F league is unreal. I own Letang in another league and wouldn't hesitate to make this deal. Hes got injury problems and is very dependant on Crosby and Malkin to produce, and they get injured quite a bit too. Suter should replace him at least partially. Eberle is going to be buried on a super deep team and is more of a playmaker anyways. Eriksson is solid, but he's getting up there in age and can only lose value from here on out, methinks. If the league weighs goals and PPP heavily then that makes it even better for you. Jump on it!

I would do this trade in a heartbeat if I were you.
Suter and Letang are really a wash - Letang has higher upside and scored more on the pp but Suter is more durable and should spend a ton of time on the pp in Minn. So the trade for me is Eberle and Eriksson for Stamkos. Pts only I see Eberle and Eriksson both as 70 pt players. Stamkos is a 100 pt player PP and goals: there is no better sniper in the league than Stamkos and he produces on the pp as well. You take a hit in terms of depth but can much more easily acquire a 70 pt forward than you can a 100 pt forward. Without knowing the exact peripherals this is a no-brainer for me.

Without knowing all the information, I'd lean toward this as well, but I think this thread is also showing the Suter hype is out of control.
There is no way he's on par with Letang in a format that favors goals and PPP. Last year was his career high in goals and points, and he still barely passed Letang in points and was three shy in goals -- in 51 games played! Letang almost took more shots in 2010-11 than Suter took from 2010-2012! Don't underrate Letang. Still, Stamkos is an unreal talent, and with Chara, OEL, Myers, Timonen, and the newly acquired Suter, I think you'll do alright on the blueline.

Quote:
In a goal heavy league Stamkos is even more valuable than he is in a regular H2H league.

Goal heavy and PP heavy, Stamkos is solid gold. The other components of the deal do not hurt you. Your solid on the back end.
