Hey guys I'm in a multicat H2H with lots of peripherals. I end up using Benn mostly as a LW as I do not acrue FOW points unless he is in an active Center or Forward position. From this point forward who would you rather have? I'm asking because a GM in my league has inquired on a one for one trade and I'd be on the end recieving Kane. He also mentioned he would be interested in Parise straight up but I'm not so certain I'd entertain that idea. Another GM in my league has shown interest and has Eberle whom I'd really like to acquire as I don't have a ton of depth at the RW.
2011-2012 Points Comparison Benn 369 Points Parise 353 Eberle 345 E. Kane 336 I guess the real thing here is who makes the jump in regards to breakout and who will continue to press for upside. Should I make a move or just stand pat?

I'd be willing to move Benn for E Kane or Parise.
I did a breakdown on Benn vs. E Kane throughout their careers in another thread... a lot of people disagreed with me and said Benn > E Kane but I'll see if I can dig it up for you. |

Parise Benn E.Kane Eberle I'm pretty confident in this list. I put Eberle last because it's going to be tough for him to surpass last season. Eberle is a very gentlemanly player and the points/SOG will be a little more spread around EDM with Yakupov + Schultz on that PP. Parise had a miserable season... and he was 2nd, so he has GOT to be first on this list. He's going to be very solid playing with M.Koivu/Heatley/R.Suter in MIN... very good. The separation between Benn & E.Kane is significant... I think they will get closer, but I still prefer Benn. |

benn led the pack last year while missing 11 games and being utilized in a secondary role with limited PP time and limited time in the face-off circle... next year will be different. he might not out-point parise next year, but with these cats, the overall points should be close, and i think benn takes him... |

You make it sound like he was close to a typical year. He had 69pts, he's a 80pt+ guy with good linemates. He had 293 SOG, he's a 350+ SOG guy with good linemates. He was -5, he's a +15 guy with good linemates. He had just 14 PPP, he's a 25 PPP guy with good PP-mates. Yes, PIM/Hits probably consistent... but that's still 4 major categories where he can increase his totals by 15%-20%. Plus Parise is a good SHP guy, if those count. With Benn, yes he missed 11 games and IF he plays those extra 11, it may be a 11/71 = 15% bump. |
