On Sunday, take a few minutes to remember...
First off, I can only hope you take time on Sunday Nov 11 to remember those who gave their lives so we can all live better ones. If you attend ceremonies, even better and well done.

Read the story behind the song in the info section. Its pretty sad when you think about it. As a proud member of the Canadian Forces, this song hits home for me. Lest we forget.

Thanks for posting this Axeman. I had the opportunity to go to Juno beach several years ago and visited the cemetary where the Canadian soldiers are buried. It was very hard hitting to see how young most of them were (19, 20, 21). Our men and women in unifrom deserve nothing but respect.
And thanks for serving - I hope you know it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting, Axeman. My grandfather was in the second World War. Thankfully he survived and returned home, but he would never talk about his experiences in the war. I can't imagine what he lived through and saw over there. I will surely take time to remember him and all of those who risked/gave their lives for us.

Thank you for your service. As a former soldier I appreciate the importance of never forgetting the sacrifices made by many that allows us to enjoy the freedom we have today. Our school will be having a ceremony tomorrow to show our respect for those who've served/serve for our country. Lest we forget....
