Trade review - rep given
I just pulled the trigger on 2 deals at once, not the team in the sig btw.
Stefan Elliot and a (probably late) 1st for Duncan Keith and at the same time with another owner Brian Campbell for Coyle and a 2nd our prospect drafts are usually 2 rounds per year Trying to avoid having too many roster players vs. prospects in case the season starts up and I need a legal roster. After seeing Elliot struggling again, 0 points and -4 through 10 games, it was time to cash in on the hype, plus he was just a waiver pickup early in 2011. My team will be a contender so I cant waste a bench spot on him when he graduates from prospect status when I have Buff, Streit, Carle, Keith, and Phaneuf on D. Just curious what people think of the overall deal. I bailed on Elliott early but just wont have space for him to develop slowly.

Love the Keith deal, unless the 1st rounder ends up being an early pick (due to poor performance or a draft lottery). Keith's value right now is lower than it should be so he's kind of a "buy-low" candidate at this point in time.
Only a fan of the Campbell deal if your depth at D can afford to lose a point producer like Campbell. Even if, I'm still pretty neutral on this one.

The pick in the Keith deal will at least be in the later half, but I think this team should be in the top 4 of 16. My D group is possibly the best in the league, aside from a guy that has Letang and Pietrangelo. I wanted to move Campbell after this 50 point season for a younger player. That deal was for roster reasons also. I would have had to drop a quality player if I kept Campbell.

I love the Duncan Keith deal for you. Nicely done.
I'm not a fan of the Campbell deal but I guess, looking at your Dman depth, I can understand why you did it.

I'm with the consensus. Good 1st deal. Bad 2nd. Personally I prefer Campbell over Streit. Especially if your league counts plus/minus.
