Standard espn 12 team league.
My team: QB: Brees RB: Martin, McGahee, Dwyer, Hunter, Daryl Richardson, Andre Brown WR: Marshall, Decker, Torrey Smith, Titus Young, Broyles TE: Graham, Heath Miller K: Tucker D/ST: Packers Need to make a move to get a D/ST for week 10. I'd like to hang on to the Packers for the stretch if possible. Who do I drop? Main candidates I suppose I should consider are Brown (although he keeps getting goal mouth TD), Broyles (doing well though), Young (didn't have a good week 9 but did awesome in week 8), Miller (I'd hate to drop the 2nd ranked TE), Dwyer (is his time done? maybe, maybe not), Richardson (Jackson trade didn't happen but he still sees quite a few carries) or Hunter. Or the Packers but I doubt I'll be able to pick them back up. Advice appreciated.

I'd drop Hunter. Gore isn't going anywhere. Brown is still doing well and Richardson is still getting a fair share of carries.

There are only 2 D's in the league worth holding onto during their bye week (bears and texans) drop the packers D and hold onto your bench players. They might come in handy down the stretch.

Thanks, I think you both make good points. Classic dilemma.

Drop Hunter or Brown.
How many RB can you start? If only 3, then you have a bunch that I am not sure you ever will play. Plus unless their starter RBs get hurt this weekend you can pick them up next week. Dywer was good recently, but seems like whichever RB is healthy does well. Keep Broyles and Young until you see who is more reliable WR.

Quote:
I would cut ties with Broyles. I can't see having two Det receivers. GB is the only team worth owning two WRs. Broyles is at best the 3rd passing option. Realistically, he's the 4th. Young and Pettigrew will still cut into his receptions.

Wow this is a hard one. Best available D/ST I'm looking at are the Steelers (great match up this week) and Giants (very high positional rank but terrible weeks 13-17).
In answer to someone's questionk, we start up to 3 RB (two RB and flex). Seems like the options for who to drop have been narrowed to Packers D/ST, Hunter, Brown and Broyles. I was leaning towards dropping Hunter but One87 makes a compelling case to keep him... To make matters worse, I'm also thinking of picking up Beanie Wells as I could see him being a better 3rd RB option than any of my RB (after Martin and McGahee) when he returns week 12. Or I could wait another week, but I'd have the same tough decision and he may be scooped up by then. Right now I'm leaning towards dropping Packers D/ST and picking up Steelers D/ST (or if I don't get them, Giants D/ST) and next week trying to pick Packers D/ST back up and possibly put in for Wells. I'd like to give Broyles/Young another week to see if one of them stands out more than the other. So tough! Wish one of my depth RB would make it obvious that they should be dropped.
