Ya, from that list, Aberg is probably the one I would look to drop as well.

At first glance I was thinking Clendening, but he is well suited for this format. Aberg is the correct drop.

A consensus so far...interesting.

I don't see this as being so cut and dry. There are a lot of long shots on this list and if timeline isn't a factor then Aberg doesn't seem any more of a risk than Kucherov, Khokhlachev or Armia.

There are a few guys on your list that just don't belong. Remove Connolly, Elliott, Beaulieu, TT, Josi and Conacher from this list, you have to keep them.

Cervenka's main value to most poolies is that he can pay off imediate dividends but with that factor taken out of the equation I'm not sold on him being anything more than a 40ish point player. Hold but keep expectations in check.

JT Miller has a very high likelyhood of playing in the NHL and for that reason I'd hold him but I'm still trying to figure out if he could top out at anything more than an average 2nd line player.

Phillips being a Canadian selected in the 1st round is a start, his gaudy CHL numbers just about clinch the deal but I have this feeling he's been considerably overrated based on the strength of the St John team he played for. Definite hold but I'm a bit cautious on him.

Clandening is fringe on this list...a case could be made for dropping him

The bottom line is that I'm not making a case for keeping Aberg as much as I'm cautioning against holding risky Russian assets. Save yourself the headache.

Thanks - all good points. I actually had my list narrowed to dropping one of Aberg, Clendening, or Khokhlachev, but was curious if I was overvaluing any of the other guys I listed so I figured I'd post them too.

The farm system in this keeper league currently allows 25 prospects/team, and we'll be expanding that by 5 players/team each year for the next few years, so I have the roster space to gamble on risk/reward Russians a bit.

To give a sense of the bigger picture, this is my entire current farm team, including the really obvious "can't drop" players (Tarasenko, Hubs, Schwartz, Faulk, Morrow etc) that I left off my list in the OP:

Aberg, Pontus F - NAS
Armia, Joel F - BUF
Cervenka, Roman F - CGY
Conacher, Cory (R) F - TB
Connolly, Brett F - TB
Huberdeau, Jonathan (R) F - FLA
Khokhlachev, Alexander F - BOS
Kucherov, Nikita F - TB
Miller, J.T. F - NYR
Phillips, Zack F - MIN
Schwartz, Jaden (R) F - STL
Silfverberg, Jakob (R) F - OTT
Tarasenko, Vladimir (R) F - STL
Teravainen, Teuvo F - CHI
Beaulieu, Nathan D - MON
Clendening, Adam D - CHI
Elliott, Stefan D - COL
Faulk, Justin D - CAR
Josi, Roman D - NAS
McNabb, Brayden (R) D - BUF
Morrow, Joe (R) D - PIT

Khudobin, Anton G - BOS
Lehner, Robin (R) G - OTT
Stalock, Alex (R) G - SJ
Vasilevskiy, Andrey G - TB

The reason I wanted to drop a skater was to make room to add Jon Gillies (G - CGY), which I did today after dropping Aberg. As you can see I am stocked with quite a few high-end D and F prospects so adding Gillies balances out my goalie ratio a bit. Plus I own Gillies in another keeper and I tend to double up on guys where the gut feeling is strong...
