Solid deal for the Jays. They basically traded two backup guys for a solid reliever who throws mid to high 90's. Nicely done!

Exactly. The market for quality arms nowadays is great considering how pitchers are blowing out arms left right and centre. Might as well stockpile good arms while you can...throw shit against the wall and see what sticks.
So much for the Yan Gomes story lol. Don't know much about this Rogers guy but looking at his numbers from the NL to the AL is like night and day. His walk/strikeout ratio was pretty bad with Colorado but then goes to Cleveland and posts 54 Ks with only 12 BB...and a 1.11 WHIP. Great numbers, let's hope we got the Cleveland version and not the Colorado one. |
