Default Justin Faulk vs. Jake Gardiner

G A +/- PIM ATOI SOG HIT BLK STP

Looking to fill my final D slot in a limited keeper league. Doubtful either would be kept barring a massive breakout. Which one would you take?

Welcome to the forums. Nice job posting your league setups. Makes it much easier to give honest opinions on your questions. Just as a heads up though, and this is something I normally do before making my posts when I am wondering about certain players on here, do a search first. There have been a few threads regarding these two. Granted not every thread may pertain to your league settings but still a good starting point. If you did a search and didnt find your answers, I apologize and ignore my previous rant.

Heres a couple threads that may help:

http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...light=gardiner

http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...ighlight=faulk

If you put this to a vote on these forums it would probably be a pretty close end result. I'd say its somewhat split on preference but for what its worth, I prefer Faulk.

I agree that the opinions will be pretty split. Im actually a fan of Gardiner here.

I like Faulk. Similar players but he has better opportunity. Murphy is his only competition and Faulk has experience which counts for a lot.

I like Gardiner here based on opportunity. It's so close, that I look at Pitkanen/McBain/Murphy and wonder if Faulk will be stuck in a Carlson-like role.

I like Gardiner here, but you could basically flip a coin with these two guys as they are very similar to each other as far as potential goes..

I like Faulk, but it sure is damn close. Gardener does likely have less competition than Faulk, but I just like his upside - and it's not like he can't overcome (McBain/Pitkanen).

Less competition? Phaneuf, Liles and the soon to be stud Reilly. I think Gardiner has just as much if not more competition the Faulk.

Agreed. 100% Faulk for me. Big believer in this kid and his potential. Think he's manning the pwr play by season's end, if there is one....
