[Cage Match Tournament] #4 Backstrom vs. #5 Varlamov
It's time to run down our final first round matchups in the Cage Match Tournament with those from the Dryden Bracket. We have been seriously thin on upsets so far but that is just fine by me. Remember that you are voting for whichever goalie you prefer in a one-year league with Wins, Goals Against Average, Save Percentage and Shutouts as the categories.

Varlamov has a nice future but Backstrom is so established.

These guys are VERRRRY close for me. Varlamov's home numbers were dirt-nasty last year...if he can get some consistency on the road he'll be a great fantasy option.
I actually had Backstrom ranked one spot above Varlamov in my ranking...so I have to go with him.
