Default Hits in my league - just nuts

    So I am in a 3c,3lw, 3rw, 6D, 1 util start league - weekly mon to sun.

I have Ott as my big hitter - after 4 days of games he is currently 6th among my hitters - 3 behind Franson and Voynov (who still has time to get more today)

    Doan - 21 hits
    Brown - 14
    Doughty - 10
    Franson and Voynov - 8

    Just nuts!

Wow.....Doan's double double the other night doesn't even to matter for you! Youd be winning without it....

was watching the canucks game tonight. i think the hit stats after the first period were 24 - 5 for the coyotes. if i were in a league with hits, i'd look to see if there are any 'yotes in the waiver wire (if they have a lot of home games left). final hit stats read 50-19 for the coyotes.

Yeah cdubb and I are in the league together and I am at 84 hits. We just added hits last year and I already had Brown and Doughty and I tend to perenially redraft Doan so I knew I was going to be okay for hits but Voynov and Franson have been a pleasant surprise.

The problem is that they don't. Seven at home vs. 10 on the road. Not a terrible split but not what you are hoping for.

That's one reason why Phoenix will probably miss the playoffs and that's even factoring in a collapse by San Jose.

the reason i don't understand why the trend to use hits instead of PIM - its so biased on home versus away games. there is no way 24-5 is an accurate hit
    count.

    True.
Metaldude sourced an article in nhlnumbers about Hits tracking.
Apparently the statisticians in Chicago and Phoenix are among the most notorious about padding their own players' HIT counts.
