I'd take OEL.
This is season he will truly break out.
Look for 45-50pts from OEL this season with a +10 and ~50pims.
He actually got more PP TOI than Yandle last year but had a very unlucky shooting%.
Limited keeper so I'd just be looking at who would be more valuable this season.

If its just for this season, I will take the less sexy pick (and no doubt be in the minority here but I am ok with that) and actually prefer Kronwall here.
If theres a chance on you keeping one of these two past this year then I would say OEL. For this year, I think Kronwall is going to out produce OEL with your league settings.

With Yandle still in PHX, I'd go with Kronwall.
This appears to be a keep 7. I'm not sure you keep Kronwall or OEL on your team. ( OEL is a fantastic keeper )
So if you do not plan to keep either player after this season I go with Kronwall.
If you are planning on keeping one of them then for sure you go with OEL.
Thanks guys. Seems pretty split.
Yes next season I hope to have a stronger keeper than OEL so more focused in which d can help me most this season.
Have to wait and see which d is the fav here.

Pretty close. I was leaning toward Kronwall, bur after looking at both guys career stats IIm going with OEL. Kronwall will be hard pressed to come close to his career high of 51 pts. Im thinking 40 may be a good season for Kronwall.
OEL should hit 40 and has more upside. Adding Ribeiro should result in asmall bump in points/ppp for OEL even with Yandle.....if Yandle gets moved OEL should hit 50.

For only next season I would go with Kronwall, OEL has more longterm upside but with Kronwall you know your getting a top 10-12 Dman in your format. I would guess that the two of them end up being pretty darn close in value at the end of the season so there really isn't a wrong pick.
The fact that it's this close should justify going with OEL over Kronwall even if it's maybe for one year.
You can't just suppose you'll have better keepers at the end of the year because a lot can happen during a year. Right now, I agree that both Kronwall and OEL would be fringe keepers in your league but what if OEL explodes and gets 60 points? Suddenly, you're thinking of keeping him, right?
I'd go with upside in this situation because the probabilities are high that both defensemen will have very similar stats at the end of the year.
It's close but I would go with OEL. He has more upside and is a possible future keeper.
Since OEL is in Phoenix, his stats have steadily progressed and Yandle have somewhat dipped. I want to be careful when I say that because I think Yandle is still the stud in Phoenix. But saying that it hurts OEL, I just don't agree with that. They do feed off of each other on the PP and they complement each other very well.
who are you going to drop from your forward group to make room for your d keeper? toughie.
