Default Drafted on my phone...from a bar

    Does it seem like it?

    Team in sig.

(Not a big money league, but one with my closest friends. They've already started beaking.)

I also have Visnovsky on my roster, but I'm probably going to drop him.
    Notable FAs:

    Theodore
    Malone
    Downie
    Tlusty
    Hanzal
    Glencross
    Clutterbuck
    Carle
    Wiz

    Appreciate the look. Rep.

You're gonna dominate PIM's for sure. Heck, if Crosby is as fit and ready as everyone says, if Benn does what he is capable of, if Voracek is this year's Grioux, this is not a bad team at all. Not in love with your goalies, but you never know. Good luck.

Seeing how you're dropping a D, you probably want to pick up a D as a replacement, with that in mind I like Wizniewski. Lose Visnovsky, add Wizniewski.

Actually Jim, for this particular season he has good tending because they are both going to play tonnes, Ward's numbers are going to improve on that team and Kipper is always up there in stats.

Visnovsky would be a drop for me for Wiz even if he did come back.

Its going to be interesting to see how many FOW, Ott is going to get, he apparently is going to start out on the LW on the third line.

I agree, I really like Kipper and Ward this year. And those are my exact thoughts on Wizniewski over Visnovsky.

Hmmm... well, I am still not a big fan of Ward or Kipper right now. I don't think either team is going to improve as much as folks are saying, and I honestly don't think either team has the kind of quality defense that gives those guys a good GAA. Yes, they will get a ton of starts. But that alone does not give them good fantasy numbers. I know I might be a minority view here. Feel free to call me dumba** at the end of the season. I'd be glad to be wrong! I guess that's what makes this fun!

    Thanks, guys.

Yahoo autodrafted Visnovsky while I was in the washroom. I was thinking of replacing him with a forward, but a D-man may be a better choice. There are a few other guys available as FAs.

    OEL
    Goligoski
    Souray
    Girardi
    Carlson
    Carle

Do you like any of them better than Wiz?

I think my team is ok, but compared to the other teams I feel I'm weak in scoring but strong in peripherals (I was worried that Ott wasn't going to center because I wanted his FW to go with his PIMS/Hits).

Don't get me wrong Jim - I don't think you are far off in this - I just think in a roto with max games and 50% of your goalie cats are volume that having guys like Ward and Kipper put up 40 games each for you is going to be good for your squad. Yeah I think GA, GAA and SV% won't be stellar but they won't be bottom of the pack.

Kipper put up a .921 and 2.35 on a pretty bad team last season. The number of SA these guys will take will certainly ameliorate some of the softness in peripherals.

I don't think you guys are on opposite sides of the fence here. My goalies are mediocre and the peripheral stats are going to hurt me, but I think (read: hope) they'll do fine.

The other thing is goalies are a premium to the GMs in my league, so it'll be harder to acquire a stud G than tinker with my skaters.

    C: Crosby, Koivu, Boyle, Schenn
    LW: Elias, Benn, Ott
    RW: Selanne, Doan, Wheeler
    D: Byfuglien, Chara, Phaneuf, Goligoski
    G: Ward, Kipper

I've made some minor changes in that I removed Voracek, Dubinsky, and Visnovsky and replaced them with Schenn (still got my eye on Voracek), Boyle, and Goligoski.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.
