some nights it looks like the Rangers would benefit from the NFLs ability to decline penalties

I've seen my Avs score 2 PP goals all year, one of them by fluke.

Quite a few teams struggle on the PP now, would be nice if they adopted that tested PP rule where the red line becomes the offside line on a PP when the team on the PP has the puck in the offensive zone.

Washington are such a useless team to watch now. Not fast or entertaining and don't make enough mistakes defensively for the opponent to have their way either.

Randy Carlyle's done a good job defensively but he has his team sitting on a 2 goal lead before the 3rd even begins.

    Chicago and San Jose game

Another match penalty for a hit that wasn't to the head. Understandable the refs want to make the the call that will deter checks to the head, but if they were not sure of what happened they are making a call that takes a player out of the game.

Maybe these calls become reviewable on the ice for the officials.

Every comment I saw tonight about the Caps was prior to the third period. The Caps played a good third period and that is their problem, they play one solid period. If they could string together 3 periods in a row.....oh wait, they can't. Check out my post tonight in the Eastern Conference section.
