Right now, I'd say it's 50/50. He will be in camp and it all depends on his performance. If he shows signs that he belongs, he'll stay for at least the trial period (not sure what that is in the new CBA). The OHL won't help him much more with his development and he can't yet go to the AHL. On the other hand, the Isles will be cautious as they've been burned before with premature promotions.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
with the islanders you never know.
my guess is no.
i think nino has a better chance of making the team than strome does.
I would think after Niederreter's one goal in 55 games last season the Islanders would be especially cautious with Strome. Unless he absolutely kills it in the trial period (I think it's going to be 6 games) the Islanders let him dominate the OHL this year.
i think hes a much better player than Nino and the spot is his to win, I doubt we'll see a full season from him but he'll get the opportunities
I think he's the real deal and as Mcgoo said a much better player then Nino. I fully expect him to make the club and play the full season.

grammar Nazi
Noun
(slang, idiomatic) 1. A person who habitually corrects or criticizes the language usage of others, especially in situations where it is unnecessary, e.g. an informal conversation.
Notes: This behavior is almost always found in people with very low I.Q's, whom have a very low sense of self worth. Impotence is also commonly linked to Grammar Nazi's.
Knowing the Islanders track record when it comes to highly touted prospects, I say he makes the team. Also knowing the Islanders track record, I say he craps the bed in his first year and is set back 3 more years because the Islanders have no clue how to develop young stars.

He's probably in the middle right now. Not good enough for the NHL but too good for the OHL. I severely dislike Strome so I am biased, but I say he doesn't make it yet. Also no way in hell is he better than Nino Niederreiter. Strome is the next Rob Schremp.
Well, it's not my problem anymore, I just traded him!!
