For those who said that "this was the year" Markov would finally be healthy and produce, it's not. His knee is just completely shot. No hope. Time to give 'er up.

At this point the injury is unknown. Left in the 2nd period and didn't return. I assume it won't take too long for further information though.

Yuck. Aside from the likelihood that his knee is destroyed again, I wasn't aware just how awful his production had been so far. One apple in 9 games is a pretty terrible stat line for someone whose entire draft value is based on the premise of offensive production.

He's been away from the game for a while - 9 games isn't a lot to get back into the swing. We also have no good information about how he is being deployed over there - so his numbers might reflect limited ice time and no pp time - who knows. Be interesting to hear more on his injury.
Oh, without a doubt you're right. I just hear "Markov" and "injury" and immediately think the worst.
