Default Paul Ranger signs with Marlies

Wow!! I hope he gets another shot at what was once a promising NHL career.

Wow, interesting. He had a ton of promise earlier in his career.

One would have to believe that it will take him a while to readjust. I remember reading that he was registered in classes at the University of Ottawa last year and the year prior, but he did not play for the university team (obviously).

Ranger seems to be doing quite well in the AHL in his comeback bid (20 points and +17 in 31 AHL games). Unless I'm mistaken, he only has a deal with the Marlies. Does this mean another NHL team could sign him? If so, I guess I'm a bit surprised nobody has. Anyone have any recent Ranger-related news?

That's correct, he's not affiliated with any NHL team so any of them get give him an offer. From what I understand though, he'd prefer re-starting his career somewhere close to home which means the Leafs. But yes in theory any team could swoop in and sign him.
