Ryan, Duchene or Skinner would be good returns for Yandle.
League in sig. Points only. No positions. Keep 6.
I'm shopping Yandle to boost my offense.
A gm is interested. He took RNH and Yakupov out of trade talks.
That leaves:
Ryan
Duchene
Heatley
M.Richards
Skinner
Plekanec
and a bunch of non interesting players.
Would you trade Yandle for one of these forwards?
Thank you.

OK,
3 for 3 on Ryan, Duchene, Skinner.
Now, wich one?
Personnally, I think I prefer Duchene.
Ryan has a nice run after a slow start.
Aren't you afraid of Skinner health?
Any of those 3 are keeper material after Itrade Yandle?
I really like your input guys!

He's only willing to move Skinner for my Yandle.
Maybe that's because he has a concussion!!!
Aren't you concern about that issue?
Would you take the guess of losing Yandle to get an injured Skinner?

that is exactly why he is willing to part with him...i hate that! there is always a concern for concussions as they are so unpredictable...especially when the player is now dealing with his second in as many years. but at any given moment any playre can get injured and lose time. yes some are more prone to injuries than others but trying to build a team with just injury concerns typically does not lead to success.
just looking at Yandle (this year) other than a couple of 3-point nights, he has been inconsistent. i am not sure why this is...skinner seems poised to become a great forward espcially in points only and is/was CAR 2nd leading scorer before the injury. CAR is a much better offensive team than PHO so that weighs in on my comparison of the two as well.
i would do this deal, more for the future than for this year (obviously) as there is no real word on progression from skinner. if you can afford to take the chance, its still a good deal.

Thanks for that great reply!
I would love to have a (healthy) player like Skinner on my team.
I know Yandle is inconsistent. But I'm in 1st place right now and I don't want to lose this edge...
I have to figure if my depth at D could overcome the lose of Yandle...

yeah, you have some sleeping giants in your D corp that should be performing better than they have...then again you have some that are probably peforming a little better than expected. are there any WW options for D in your league that could help balance out the loss of Yandle.
i still think you are in a good enough position player wise to do this deal. as soon as Skinner comes back you won't miss Yandle anymore!
Good luck.

Since last post, I reinquired about Skinner.
He reasked for Yandle.
I already traded a D (Diaz) for a forward (Parenteau) this weekend.
I still think I can afford to lose Yandle and roll with five: Doughty, Markov, Wiz, Goli and Franson, but Wiz and Markov are great members of the BAB club...
We have only two FA pickups. Already used both for Diaz and Franson.
I like to load on D and then target gm with weakness at the backend.
I don't really need a boost at offense, but a great player like Skinner (when healthy) give me some nice options for weekly lineups and/or trades possibilities.
Do you think my keepers are better with Yandle or with Skinner on my team?
Is Skinner a PPG player? If yes (or close to), I think it's worth a D like Yandle. Do you?
With the news that Skinner started to practice (still no contact), how much time do you think before he plays in a game?
Thanks guys.

i would not deal my skinner for yandle. if you can get someone to make that deal, take it. skinner is only in his 3rd season and he's been making steady progress every season. yes, the injuries are there, but he's already back skating which suggests this one wasn't very bad.
i think skinner is a ppg player within the next season or two. i would rather keep skinner moving forward than yandle. with only 6 keepers, i think there should be lots of d-men available year to year and you ice 9 fwds to only 4 dmen.
you could ask for a pick back with skinner's iniury history if you want. me, i make that deal.

I traded Yandle for Skinner+ after JS's rookie season, haven't regretted it even with the damn injuries. Just watch Skinner play, the kid has some serious talent. Hopefully he can stay off the IR in the future - but its a worthy gamble IMO.
