    Default Stepan Vs Berglund

I like the progression in Stepan, but he's stuck behind Richards. Berglund might have a shot at being number one on his team, but he regressed last season.

Who would you rather own in a points only(G=1, A=1) limited keeper league?

I'd roll with Berglund. All the young skilled wingers in the folds can only help him. Stepan has no chance of cracking the top line with the three-headed monster in New York.

Flip a coin. Nearly identical upsides and point outlook for this year (58-60). I can see both being consistent 60-68 point players in the coming years. Berglund might get a shot alongside Tarasenko on the 2nd line so that does intriuge me more.....on the fence on this one. Gun to my head, i'll likely role with Stepan; think he'll be the more consistent player point-wise of the two. Just MHO.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Yeah this is close. Both players will give you very similiar production. Personally, I prefer Stepan.

I prefer Stepan as well. The depth in St. Louis doesn't endear me to Berglund's production at all.

I feel Berglund is a bit suspect in regards to hockey pool upside and I wouldn't be surprised to see Gaborik spending quite a bit of time with Stepan... Soooo, I'll go with DS here

Another vote for Stepan. More consistent in less time.

    Cheers.

Seems like every year I'm waiting for Berglund to breakout offensively, and each year it fails to happen. I think with Hitchcock in St.Louis and the way the team plays, Berglund is going to have trouble scoring at a better rate than Stepan.

I like the way the Rangers play compared to the Blues and I feel like Stepan is in a greater situation to succeed offensively, compared to Berglund.

stepan is the better player and he's in a better situation. torts usually has one
dman and 4 fwds on the power play. delzotto, gabby, richards, nash and stepan is just a sick pp. i like berglund alot but he seems to lack the desire/intensity and consistency to be a great player. hitchcock too defensive for any fwd on that team to be fantasy relevant.

Stepan and Richards will likely have one each of Nash and Gabby on his line because of play style differences, so it's not like Stepan will be playing with garbage. Even if he was stuck playing with the likes of Callahan and Kreider/Hagelin, I'd bet he'd still outproduce Berglund.

Default I like this ?. I have both....

I like Berglund a bit more but would be happy if either hit 60pts consistently. Cheap contracts!

    Stepan.
As long as he stays C2 and PP2, he'll still put up solid points.

Berglund is no lock to be either of those.
