TSN reporting the Sabres have signed 25 year-old Matt Donovan (D) to a one year deal.

Can anyone provide some insight into Bogosian's offensive role and upside in BUF? Gotta think Risto and Bogo will get prime PP time. Im hoping for a breakout to the tune of 35-40 points. Am I delusional?

Bogo is top pairing, minute muncher w/underrated offense. He's not huge offense but he's 40-45 range easily based on TOI. Risto is top pairing to be, but he'll start on second line. No need to rush him. I like Risto at 45+ eventually. Guess it depends if you have time to wait or need production now.

Kane - ROR - Ennis (this is probably the safest assumption)

Moulson - Eichel - Girgensons (this could very well be Gionta with Girgs asthe third line center in place of Reinhart)

Foligno - Reinhart - Gionta (Reinhart is the wild card in all of this - Girgs is probably better suited at C3 than Reinhart outta the gate which pushes Rein-O to the wing)

Deslauriers - McCormick- Larsson (both Larsson and McCormick provide wing/center flexibility too)

Bogosian has poor vision on the PP, he’s got a wicked shot, and can pass very well. But plenty of times he shoots when no one is in front of the net, or doesn’t make that one extra pass. For now he’s the PP1 QB, but for Buffalo to be successful someone has to usurp him I think. I was watching a Leaf vs Sabres game and this was brought up by the commentators and for the rest of the game that’s all I could notice. If he can make that next step to expanding his vision and being more patient on the PP, he’ll be a lot better.

Good insight, thanks! Im really hoping that Bogo finds that next level offensively in BUF. Lots of positives - prime minutes and little competition, not a lot of pressure for immediate success, not under a media spotlight, entering prime...

One of those players I received as a toss in as part of a deal - love it when those guys pan out

    projections for Moulson and Ennis?

Both guys are sitting in my FA pool. I have all four of my draft picks in the second round, decently high enough where i could potentially grab either of these.

Ennis intrigues me as a potential RW1 with ROR and Kane - 25/25?
    Moulson ...I dunno..

Apparently the First Niagara Center will have a Tim Hortons right in the dressing room.

    No need for accidents!

Seriously, ROR for 50 points, Eichel for 58 points, Moulson probably 45 points!

Eichel will continue to wear the #41 until he officially makes the team and then will switch to his #15 that he's to wear during the season.
I like this alot. He's not assuming anything and wants to earn his way.

It's going to be a very exciting year all around. I'd love to know how the defensive pairing shake out. Pysyk has to be up full time, he's ready. I like the idea of keeping Risto on the second line for now until he develops more. Is there room for McCabe?

    /great problems to have

Top two lines to open camp:

    Ennis - O'Reilly - Kane
    Moulson- Eichel -Girgensons

Solid support around Eichel will really help his development. Love me some Zemgus.

Ristolainen out 7-10 days (UBI). McCormick out for the season w/blood clots in his legs. May get Johan Larsson a cup of coffee.

Any news on how this line has looked together? I have Girgensons in my keeper league and was worried by everyone predicting he was going to the third line but this would be a lot more interesting. The RW positioning would also go well with the C & LW he already has

I know it's only the preseason, but Eichel looks amazing on the ice so far in this game.
