This kid deserves a thread. First player to 50 goals in the CHL! Probably not a top end prospect but certainly one who deserves some discussion for those in deeper leagues.

I agree. His shot is his main and best attribute. Apart from that, nothing else is spectacular.

Great! So he's in the class of:

    Nyquist
    Sgrabossa
    Panik
    Nino
    Toffoli
    Zucker

After all the fringe prospects I read about here on a daily basis it's strange that everyone's so quick to write this kid off.

I'm just waiting for Dean Youngblood to enter this thread. I know he's a huge Boucher supporter.

yeah I think he's up there with Toffoli to be honest. Someone I don't see having much NHL impact.

i don't know if he is actually undersized, but if he is and if he has bad skating ability, then that's basically the kiss of death. See Corey Locke.

I am here but I am definitely not a huge supporter in all honesty. I follow him and want him to do well but I don't have too high of hopes for him.

He's a sniper with a ridiculous shot and ability to get into scoring position but other than that, there isn't too much to write home about. It is scary to think that if Boucher improved his accuracy how many goals he would have. He still lacks one-on-one skills (speed, puck handling, etc) to beat opponents and that is why I worry about his future. Very much a "project" player but the Devils got great value for him in the 4th round.

Not "undersized" but he's not an ideal size thats for sure. His size certainly doesn't help him. His skating is okay but not great. If he was a quicker more agile skater he would be deadly. Like Ev, I have my concerns that he will struggle to break out of the AHL. I am rooting for him though.

Fair enough, I'm not attempting to pitch a potential star here, just get him the attention someone like Toffoli has gotten around these boards.

Hey, I'm as hard or harder on the likelyhood of prospects panning out as just about anyone on these boards. I just want to see credit given where credit is due and this kid should be making his way onto peoples radars.
