NHL has said they have an agreement with the KHL to stop this but because he is 36 he may just retire or convince NYI that he's staying anyway. I dunno if he would be effective if he did come anyway.
Visnovsky has been rumoured by rotowire and twitter accounts to be staying in the KHL due to personal and family reasons. I have Visnovsky in my points only pool and I already have Gardiner hurt.. Should I drop him for Pitkanen or another dman soon while the picking is good? Or should I wait?

He isn't a keeper for you anyway so I think I would err on the side on dumping him while you have something to pick from. I have him in a deeper league than yours and there really isn't much left to pick up but my thinking is screw it - don't need the aggravation - but still I hesitate - could sure use his PP points.
You might get lucky and be able to slide Gardiner on Ir at the start of the season.
Pretty tough to convince the Isles to let him stay there without retiring as they just gave up a 2nd for him. Pretty big pick!

How long do you think Pitkanen will remain a free agent? If you think someone is likely to scoop him up, I would drop Visnovsky for him now; if you believe no one will, I would wait to see how things play out with Visnovsky.
Visnovsky has said if the KHL won't allow him to play he will be an Islander. I just wonder how effective he will be if he does return.

Lubomir Visnovsky D - NYI:Jan 9, 12:41PM
According to agent Neil Sheehy, Lubomir Visnovsky will report to the New York Islanders if it is deemed that he can't remain in the KHL. "His preference is stay in Bratislava, but if the KHL says he can't play there, he'll come and play for the Islanders," said Sheehy. Sheehy also stated that Visnovsky's dissatisfaction is not with the Islanders, but with the NHL. "He had a full no-trade clause, and he's been traded three times since then," Sheehy said. "And then he was locked out by the NHL, so he decided he wanted to stay put with his family." New York Isles GM Garth Snow, who declined to comment on the situation again, is expected to speak with Visnovsky again on Wednesday.

I'd hold on to him. He'll play, and should have a solid year with Tavares, Streit, and co.
Incidentally, if he's been traded 3 times with a no-trade clause, I hope he's hired a new agent. It's their job to get the client the contract he wants.
He's an absolute fool for opening his mouth before he was 100% sure he could stay in the KHL. He's going to have to win Isles fans over, because he's definitely made it clear he doesn't want to be there.
10-team Keeper. Everyone keeps 12 + 1 G + 3 "young keepers" (players with less than 164 NHL games played), and 1G. Points for G (2), A (2), PIM (.2), Hit (.2), Blk (.2) SHP(1), W(4), SO(8) Must dress 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D, 2G
C - Crosby, Backstrom, Kuznetsov, Eichel, Johansen
LW - E. Kane, Drouin, Schenn, Miller, Foligno, Zucker

D - Karlsson, Carlson, Dumba, Nurse, Ceci, Pionk, Larsson, Montour
G - Murray, Quick, Koskinen, Blackwood, Georgiev
Minors - Turcotte, Bouchard, Kaprizov
Visnovsky will be forced to play for the Isles, and even though Streit's there, I think Visnovsky puts up some good numbers (say 42 games, notching 24 pts). But as much as it hurts (he is my LAST original draft pick) I will probably have to drop him this year, lots of firepower ahead of him (Karlsson, Letang, Byfuglien) and too many tough keeeper decisions at forward. Bye bye Lubo, it was great having you on the squad!
