Datsyuk for Lundqvist
Was just offered Lundy and Matt Read for my Datsyuk. I have been searching for a sure starter. Even with Lundy having an "off" year, is this a deal I have to make? The guy offering is in 2nd place, 35 pts behind me. I would swap Bryz for Lundy and either Killorn or MZA in for Dats.
Am I crazy for not accepting this?

yes, you are crazy.
IMHO datsyuk is an uber consistent C, but Lundy is an elite G who will net the lions share of starts for years to come. Alot easier to replace a #1C than a #1G and the fact that he will be with you for years to come makes it a no brainer for me...
Big yes from me, you're getting an elite goalie in his prime. Datsyuk is good but he is getting up there in age.

Definitely pull the trigger without hessitation. You have almost equal distribution of scoring and goalie categories so it is vital to have a #1G. And Lundy has not been off - take out the first 7 games in January when he did not play in the offseason and he has a sub2.0 GAA and 12 wins.
Datsyuk is leaving for the KHL in a year or two. Accept immediately.

I wouldn't trade with the team competing with me, especially 2nd place. I would, however, consider trading Dats as his NHL future is in question in regard to him returning home to finish his career. If he does that, you will have wished you traded him for Lundy.Originally Posted by The Wrong Marine
