Default What to do with Doughty?

I don't know what to do with this guy...he is really starting to burn my ass!

I hesitated on a deal earlier in the season to trade him straight up for Weber...when I re-visited this deal, the other GM didn't want the deal. I acquired him last year for Shattenkirk (looking bad now). I just never thought that he would continue to be this bad.

He has the talent to consistently put up 55 points, but I don't know what's wrong. I know some of it has to do with his defense partner (Scuderi), the style LA plays, and the fact that Sutter is putting him out there in shut-down situations.

I guess what I am wondering is will he approach that 55-60 point range again? Will he do it consistently? If not, what kind of return could I get for him?

    Team & scoring in signature.

The emergence of Voynov has alot to do with this.

As a Voynov owner, I am OK with this.

Build a time machine, go back to 3 years ago and sell high after his monstrous season.
Do the same with Mike Green.

That's about all I got with these two

Hang onto him, as I doubt you get a return worth while for him. Doughty while disappointing, is still better to have around then a guy like Corvo, and probably the whole lot of free agents. I still believe that Doughty can put up solid point totals, I still have faith in him.

That's where I stand on this guy.

You're likely not gonna get good value for him. Both him and Green are guys that I classify as a hold as they still have the potential to be great options in fantasy. Whether or not they reach that potential is another thing, but regardless you're not gonna get anywhere near the right value .

I predict you that you'll keep Streit as your 2nd D.
He's UFA this summer. Wait and see where he signs.
I bet you will want to keep him.
I'm also a Doughty owner. I wish I kept Subban in his place... :-(
Doughty has 0 value right now.
    I'm looking for a 6th keeper...

The name still holds value in my league,,,traded him and a 2nd for Eberle and a 4th last week! While I would<t be surprise his production picks up, I am doubtfull it will get back to where it was, He is now palying a more defensive role.

I've also been disappointed with Doughty, but I think everyone should also remember that he's only 24 years old. Maybe he is playing a more defensive role for LA right now, but kids also have their ups and downs.

Most D-men don't even get to begin their NHL career until they're Doughty's current age -- he's already been a Norris finalist, the best defenseman on an Olympic Gold medal winning Team Canada, and an absolute beast (including from a fantasy perspective) throughout a successful run to winning the Stanley Cup. I'd not want to sell his potential right now based on the impression that he's permanently settled in as a 35 point D-man.
