    Again, these are simply rumors.

They were talking on the Hotstove tonight (glad they brought that back tonight as I have missed that) that Pittsburgh's pushing hard for him.
Can't see them making a deal with Chicago..........but the Hawks' are in the best position in terms of providing the assets Vancouver wants in return.

Ya, because Peter Regin is the answer at #2 center. Serious? You dont think Chicago isnt in need of someone like Kesler??

I realize the history but if the right deal is there, you have to think Gillis is seriously considering it.

Never mind, I just realized I called Gillis a normal everyday person. I forgot he's a bumbling idiot.

Where in my post does it suggest Regin is the answer or Chicago doesn't need Kesler?

Obviously Chicago would love to make a deal and want Kesler. The point is I doubt Van wants to deal with Chicago, and if they can avoid it, they will. I would think they are the last option on Kesler's list of teams due to rivalry and being in the same conference.......but like my post said the Hawks have some assets that would make sense for Vancouver.

Did you even read my entire post? I ended up agreeing with you that a deal with Chicago is unlikely.

Chicago has won two Stanley Cups without a true #2C. I'd be shocked and disappointed if they offered the kind of return Vancouver is looking for for Kesler. Don't get me wrong, as much as I hate Kesler, he'd be a welcome addition to the Hawks' top six, but I just don't think it makes sense for them.

Boy the Canucks ownership are looking like geniuses for their apparent 'don't trade Kesler we want playoff revenue' stance.

I kinda hope they miss the playoffs just for being greedy.

They aren't making the playoffs. Not a chance. But I'm glad they didn't move him -- if the Sutter, Despres + late 1st was the best offer, then they're better off to wait. His value won't be less in the summer.

With two seasons left on his contract after this year, the return should be higher than that. The team is in shambles, but Vancouver was smart to wait on this one.

Philly feels like the best fit to me. They've got young pieces I'd be happy to get as a Nucks fan. They could use him and he'd be a fit there. I dunno. Seems like it'd make some sense.
