I think his days in LA are numbered. He's a UFA, he's requested a trade, and he's proven he has the skills.
No clue Rob... so many teams want and need goaltenders. I think it depends what the Kings want for him. I could see him in Calgary, Buffalo, Minnesota, Long Island.... who knows. Long Island may be a great fit.

As always, great thread and thanks for taking questions.

I am curious on your thoughts regarding Cody Franson. What do you see happening with him going forward. He's a RFA now (or about to become one very soon) and is coming off a very good year in Toronto. Carlyle obviously thinks highly of him and this showed in his play this year.

What do you see him getting for a contract (dollar and year wise), does he stay in Toronto and if he does where does he sit as far as his situation there goes. Also, what kind of production do you predict for him?

    Thanks again.

Winnipeg - hurts player value, helps Pavelec. Tighter checking games.

Detroit - helps a bit. FLA/TB hurts a bit. Minimal though.

Washington/Carolina - little change... perhaps a slight regression.

I think the biggest change will be WPG - East and West hockey is veery different.

    Thanks Axe.

I love Franson. I saw him a ton in the WHL, and his NHL qualities (size, shot, passing) were obvious. I don't think there are many defensemen who can make as crisp a first pass as he does and can.

I think he stays in Toronto - he's a good fit there. I'll go with a two-year deal for $5 million (total)?

I'm always looking to upgrade my keepers. Out of the six in my sig, who is the weakest link, and who would you be looking to target as a replacement? (outside of Crosby, Stamkos and Ovechkin, who are difficult to acquire..) I can only keep 4 forwards, so the final two have to be either a D and a G, or two D.

    Thanks for doing this!

For my points only keeper league (G-1, A-1, W-2, SO-2) I will need to drop three from the below list, who are my drops?

    Crosby
    Malkin
    Backstrom
    Seguin
    Yakupov
    Drouin
    Wheeler

    Letang
    Byfuglien
    Yandle
    Shattenkirk

    Niemi
    12 team points only keeper (G = 1, A = 1, W = 2, SO = 2)
Dress 6 forwards, 4 defensemen, 2 goalies, weekly starts
    Roster limit - 20 plus 4 prospects

Thanks. League in my sig, managed to squeak out the win but will need to drop a lot of salary this off-season with the cap dropping to 64.3. I'm already almost $10 million over, with Leddy, Dupuis, Johansson, Jagr, Selanne unsigned. Part of me is hoping that Selanne retires (or at least that he takes a deep discount). I'd appreciate hearing your views as to whether there are any obvious guys I should be looking to trade in salary dumping moves, factoring in their salaries and trade value. tx

    Jeff Skinner.

Not sure if he'll ever see top time again in Carolina with that first-line doing so well...not only that, they seem to like shuffling him between the 2nd and third line.

Add in his concussion issues, and is it time to consider moving him...or too early to do so?

I know you've advocated an Edler-Skinner trade in another article, so there's the possibility he's traded. (Much like Bobby Ryan, who I've asked you about before).

    thanks

    Default Datsyuk and Moulson

    Hi Angus,
in a keeper league with no position with 1 for a goal or an assist, how much is Moulson a downgrade compare to Datsyuk?

What are there production for next year and in 3 year?

    Thanks

In a 16 teams Dynasty League with these goalie stats: W GAA SV SV% SHO.

I have these goalies, am I good enough to just stay calm or do I try to trade some of them?

Main roster: Marc-Andre Fleury, Ilya Bryzgalov, Viktor Fasth
Prospects: Christopher Nilstorp, Darcy Kuemper, Frederik Andersen, Sami Aittokallio, Jacob Markstrom.
