    I'm currently working through some "category scoring" for goalies.
    Totaling yearly statistics sheds some light on the "average goaltender".

    Not to be that guy Axeman, but all your answers are wrong because you used capital letters in your answers and it clearly shows that Pengwins answers are lower case!

    When I just say "goalies", it is the full season of NHL stats for every goalie that played an NHL minute.
    GAA is calculated by taking all the goals scored (G) and divide by the number of 60min blocks. (A 60min block = "game". So, that's the total number of minutes logged by all goalies divided by 60).

    I extracted the entire Yahoo! database of statistics for goalies.
    They have everybody that played.
    So it accurately totals to the same # wins, shutouts, sv for the entire NHL.
    Everything is averaged.
