Default Hall vs E Kane! Who to keep? Rep given

I am in a keeper league where you keep 10... I love my roster and have some great young talent.

I have about 12 guys however that I can keep.

Tavares, Toews, Hall, E Kane, Pacioretty, Seguin, P Kane, Neal, SHattenkirk, Yandle, Price & Rinne

    Here are the league stats...

G A +/- PIM PPP SHP GWG SHP

    W GAA SV% SO

So what it comes down to is, which 10 would you keep? I am going to move Shattenkirk, and then I was thinking one of the LW...

I think you'll get a near even balance of responses on this topic.

But for me...I'm taking Hall...without much thought. I feel his ceiling is much higher and his Hockey sense and attitude, far greater than the oft refered to lazy/aloof Kane.

And that's not even taking their situation or surrounding talent into account which serves to further separate Hall from Kane to the good.

I agree with Havana, to be honest with you I really think your decision is between Kane and Pacioretty, not Kane and Hall. Hall is a step above those two guys. I agree Shattenkirk is one of the guys, and then between Kane and Patches decide who you like more Kane has more goals, PIMs and GWGs, Patches has more points (by 2) and powerplay points. Last year Patches had 8 more points than Kane but a lower +/-. It's really a toss up, but I think I would want Kane.

These are the 10 I'd keep:

    Tavares
    Toews
    Hall
    E Kane
    Seguin
    P Kane
    Neal
    Yandle
    Price
    Rinne

    Release:
    Shattenkirk (trade away)
    Pacioretty

I assume there is no market for Yandle and that is why you are dealing Shattenkirk, because I would keep him over Yandle otherwise.

I like SeaDawg's breakdown. Keep E.Kane, drop Pacioretty.

If you're married to the idea of choosing between Kane and Hall, I'd keep Hall, but I think Kane trumps Pacioretty.

It depends on roster allocation... (starting slots)... but in general, I feel that there are 20 or 25 defensemen right now that could all put up 40-50pts. I'd much rather keep elite forwards, assuming you start 3LW/3RW/3C.

My defensemen keepers in multi-cat are: Karlsson.... Letang/Weber/Subban/Chara/Buff. That's about it.

    I'd cut the D.

agreed, EKane is too valuable too drop in place of Hall, and teh D-men are what they are, good, but not elite and are replacable.

people are higher on Pacioretty than I thought...I'd drop him before Shattenkirk, but to each his own

an argument can be made for both imo

dont get me wrong here Patches is on no way elite, and the argument could be had for him vs Shatty (or Yandle).

EDIT:ahhh damn, i see that has already begun...

Just cause I know you're all wondering... I decided to listen to you all and traded MaxPac... Since I have no room for keepers and there isn't an upgrade persay that I want in any position, I dealt MaxPac for a 1st rd entry pick and a 2nd rd waiver pick... I know it was an underpayment in some ways but it was to the last place team which means, the 1st rd entry could be for MacKinnon or Drouin. I heard the opinions and kept Hall and EKane.
