Kinda sweet watching hockey over my morning joe. Even more so with USA up 7-2 in the second.

That would hurt, as I haven't gotten much from my Finns, and I've got a great deal of them on my team.

Nice to finally see Gaudreau pick up some points tonight.

Yeah, you ain't kiddin', Gostisbehere too. He was all around the action vs Russia. Nice to see him finally get some production this game - albeit a lone assist. But a guy can dream....

Fuccccccccccccc, I only had 5 of them.

I may very well finish last. Ugh.

Nice to see the Americans finally break out and get me a few pts today. Ugh.

I owned 3 FINs. Good chance most of us had the same FINs

How to lose this hockey pool in 10 easy steps:

1- You take Yakupov as your captain instead of RNH.

2- You take a player from Latvia, and that guy isn’t even playing.

    3- You select Nathan MacKinnon

    4- You take Seth Jones.

5- You don’t take the team Canada goaltending, instead opt for the US goalie

    6- You take Radek Faksa

    7- You take Olli Maatta

8- You don’t take Ryan Strome.

9- You think too much about the defence, and take Hamilton and Murphy, instead of Canadian forwards

    10- You take J.T. Miller.

Probably not a coincidence, I've done all 10 of these.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

This was Hilarious!! Same boat as 1, 4, and 7.

#11. You take Binnington as Canada's goalie thinking Subban will fall flat on his face.

    12. Draft 2 Swedes (Hampus Lindholm, and goaltender Oscar Dansk) who combine for a grand total of ZERO minutes played.

LOL! I am with ya on 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10. Could be why I am near the bottom of the pile as well.

I also took Hampus Lindholm so there's one roster spot simply wasted. I was happy to hear I was not alone in that stupid mistake.

A lot of offense today, should be interesting to see how it affects the standings.

Yeah good to see a lot of my US guys finally contribute. I'm shooting for mid-to-high 20s finish. Might be a stretch, but that would make me happy.

...or not last. That would make me happy too.

Same here - I have Gaudreau so happy with his production today. I've been hovering between 10-15 for much of the week but slipped down to the 20s yesterday. I'd be happy with a top 20 finish, but I wouldn't complain about if I end up no worse than now. Wasn't expecting much going into it.
