    Default 3/5/12 Studs & Duds

A three game Monday night, here are the fantasy hockey studs & duds

    Studs

    Mighty Ducks
Corey Perry and Bobby Ryan, two of the big three Ducks who have been struggling this season came through last night.
Perry scored the game winner on a break away and finished the night with
two goals, a plus-1, and six shots on goal
Ryan scored a goal and assist for a two point night and a plus -2, with two shots on goal

    Little Big Man
Bryan Little lead the Jets to victory with his three assists, plus-3, and winning nine of 15 face offs

Jets the "Wheel" deal at home

Blake Wheeler wins the game for the Jets by scoring on the breakaway last night. The Jets home record is now 21-10-4 giving Winnipeg plenty to cheer about.

    Honorable mentions
Pittsburghs' win last night gives them their sixth straight and really gives them a firm grasp on home ice in the first round of the playoffs.

The NHL three stars last week are Miller, Kronwall, and Emery.
Miller posted 2 shut outs, 1.0 GAA, and .974 save%
Kronwall scored 2 goals, and 5 assists for 7 points
    Emery posted a 1.13 GAA and a .959 save%

    Duds

    Sabres not very sharp
Jason Pominville, Thomas Vanek, Andrej Sekera, Derek Roy, and Robyn Regehr all finished with a minus -2 in Buffalos 3-1 loss in Winnipeg. Buffalo has been surging up the standings fighting their way back into the playoff race. Winning last night would have tied them with the Jets with 70 points, instead, they are now four points back.

Whitney post best Golf score of the night
Whitney posted a minus -3 on the night and it was an ugly -3. Whitney allowed Ryan to get behind him leading to the game tiebreaking goal. then with the net empty, Whitney coughed it up at the Ducks blueline giving up a beakaway to Perry. Ales Hemsky was also scoreless and minus-2

    Marty Turco?
I just don't get this. Don't the Bruins have better options in their system, Khudobin perhaps? I guess Turco is a lightly better option than Connor Crisp

Think Turco should be a Stud for somehow getting himself a job in the NHL.
