Default Victor Hedman and Adam Larsson

Both these guys are very high overall picks - but don't seem to be great fantasy D men. Larsson is very reminiscent of Hedman's early years in the sense that he doesn't really produce points.

Granted, Victor is having a career year and averaging around .50 pts a game (in past years it's been .15-.30, but isn't it about damn time? He's not much of a hitter or shooter either (he's not bad in either department, but nothing special).

I guess I'm just used to guys developing like Karlsson or Voynov. Too impatient.

    Are either worth a pickup?

Yes, you are being too impatient.

I would go with Hedman as his is already a fantasy asset (depending on categories of course).

It is very hard to be patient with Hedman and Larsson when you see others like Karlsson, OEL, Shattenkirk, Pietrangelo, and others developing the offensive side of their game much faster.

That said, both Hedman and Larsson are elite talents with all kinds of potential. I think Hedman is finally rounding into form a bit this season. He is clearly the best dman for Tampa already.

I can't help but think Larsson will get their eventually also, but patience is required. That said, if your league isn't deep or doesn't have a bench spot to place Larsson, you'd be wasting your time with him right now.
