post the rest of his roster
I have a GM in my league posing a deal along the lines above. Details of the league in my signature below. Do you make this deal if you're me?
Some additional information as you mull this over:
-- our league is "keep 6"; does Yakupov make that cut 4 months from now?
-- even if Yakupov doesn't make the cut, however, I have Pietrangelo who I can bump into my top 6. (Not sure I like the idea of keeping 2 goalies, 2 D, and only 2 forwards, tho'. And I like the idea of keeping only 1 goalie even less, for the record -- tried that one year, and I regretted for 8 very long months of crappy goalie stats. About 15+ good goalie get help onto every year in my league.)
-- the only two players of interest to me on this GM's roster are Rinne and Neal (listed as a RW in our league). I have expressed this clearly. He seems more flexible on Rinne, and he has been very persistent in pursuit of a number of my players for months now.
-- Rinne is almost certainly an upgrade on Schneider right now, but is he long term? How do you balance hype/pedigree vs. proven-ness?
As always, rep for advice!

Good call!
C: RNH, J. Staal, Carter
LW: Landeskog, Eriksson, Kunitz, Semin (RW)
RW: Neal, Eberle, Jagr, Yakupov
D: Letang, Green, Shultz, Kulikov, Hamhuis
G: Rinne, Ward
I'm OK for D, so Letang, as good as he is, is not of much interest to me. Eberle is at best a tie with Kane. RNH is not going to displace Backstrom anytime soon and has got rather weak peripherals, so I'm not super hot on him, either.
Like I said, Neal or Rinne, and that's pretty much it for me.

your keepers must be 1 at each position or is there a different breakdown
another thing you say eberle is at best a tie with kane
thats kind of the point isnt it
i mean if you are giving kane dont you want someone coming back that is a tie with him
unless of course you somehow think that you are giving up the better goalie in this deal in which case forget it you will not be able to make a deal

I think the crux of the issue here is, how much better, short and long term, is Rinne than Schneider, and does that upgrade warrant losing Kane?
(The point of my other comments about Eberle, etc., was just to illustrate that I don't have any burning interest in that GM's players beyond Neal and Rinne.)

if you really want neal for this deal and you guys have been sniffing around each other for awhile now then wait until schneider improves a bit and get better value out of the deal
right now he is trying to hit on schneiders rough start i think to lower his values so wait it out a little while

well here is the thing kane is off to a hot start
so if he is assuming you notice schneiders rough start he has to assume you notice kanes hot start as well
nail scored his first goal last night maybe he thinks that carries something as well
yeah like i said though wait a couple of weeks things should even out and you should be able to get the deal you want
