At the grocer, bud calls says Die by the Blade is reporting murmers re the Sabres pursuing Iginla and Evander Kane. Anyone hear anything?

Hard to believe Kane would be involved w/out Myers going the other way.

    Default Jets @ Sabres - 2.19.2013

Just a few notes for tonight's home game...

    • First unit PP = Foligno-Ennis-Vanek and Brennan/Pominville on the points.
    • Henceforth Myers will be limited to 20 mijn/game. Ruff has admitted that Myer's lack of conditioning prohibits him from gobbling big mins ala Ehrhoff. Consequently, he fades fast down the stretch. No more PP time (maybe some 2nd line duty)
    • Goodbye Norris. Hello Gary Roberts.
    • Leopold a healthy scratch.
    • Stafford relegated to the fourth line
    • Kaleta bumped up to Ennis and Foligno (at least that's how it was in practice).
    • Grigorenko also a healthy scratch for second straight game.
    • Grigorenko meet Luke Adam. Adam this is Mikhail. I'm sure you two have a lot to discuss.

    sigh....

Honestly, but for that goal by Pommer w/23secs remaining, that was the worst two periods I have seen by the Sabres.

Potential good news! Grigorenko is lining up as the 2nd line C with Foligno and Stafford. Practicing on the 2nd unit PP as well.

Probably just filling in for Ennis who didn't practise today.

Ruff is incapable of leading this team, so it really does not matter. He had Stafford with the fourth line yesterday, then benched Vanek during the game as punishment for the first goal, then had Stafford on the top line at one point...maybe even Gerbe at one point.

I mean this with all sincerity, as I sat and watched what was one of the all time shittiest 2nd periods of hockey I have ever watched....ever...I actually felt bad for the organization. An utter embarrassment, it was.

They may have a decent game vs the Leafs tomorrow night. But ultimately the problem is too systemic for the Sabres to not revert back to their same ol' routine.

Shame on me for falling for the preseason hype, yet again.

I hope, like every other Sabres fan out there, that they fire Ruff after this season. Please, please, please!

Oh they waved McCormick today. Alas, their BIG move! [sigh]

Not sure which Rochester player they're making room for, but as I have said....not sure it matters. Maybe Luke Adam...?!?

That would be funny were I not crying.

    The witch is dead.

    Enjoy Bomm!

Now who's going to replace him? Who's coaching your AHL-team?

I am actually speechless. Sabres are about to board a bus for Toronto. No word on interim....

Sweet Jeebus, now let Grigs loose and see what he could do...pleez.

for a Sens fan i really like this Sabres team, maybe because i have nothing left to watch in OTT other than Silfverberg, Turris and Zibanejad

lol...too funny. I am in the middle of a rant about the org. and status quo when word comes down that the very man I am raging against has been fired.

I don't know what to talk about.
