Yeah, team really looked out of sync...not sure how to create offense out of this system. They've certainly practiced flopping in front of pucks though...new wrinkle.
I'm prepared to give this team latitude to struggle through October as they get used to a new coach and system after 7 years [I think] with AV. If they can keep a .500 record through Oct. they'd still be in position to start to make a push [if they have that in them].
Either way the big bodies and relentless pressure of the SHARKS was a tough draw for an opening game [on the road no less].

Wow...just when I thought Hamhuis couldn't get any worse so far this season so far, he scores on Luongo.
On a more positive note, how awesome has Mike Santorelli been? He's been so versatile playing in all situations and looks like Tortorella feels comfortable playing him with anybody. Had a bunch of shifts with the Sedins and read them well

Woohoo Luiiiii getting me the shutout last night.
I've said it before but I'll say it again. Mike effing Santorelli. I feel like he's been one of the best players on this team so far this season. Being used in all situations and always seems to be effective with whoever he plays with. Didn't manage to catch most of last night's game but I see he grabbed a couple of assists.
