Yeah, last time I watched Roy play was when he was playing for Buffalo. He did fit in seemlessly, played a strong two-way game. I don't like to be overtly excited about just one game, but I really liked what I saw. A rejuvinated lineup. Hopefully it continues.

another win for the Canucks. Great game by Schneider, but he was lucky Vermette helped him out in the last minute!

Season high number of shots on net, which is good to see after posting some not so high numbers in previous games. I would say the team is happy to have Kesler back!

Id hope for them to go on a little run now to gain momentum for a playoff push. Im sure Kesler will be back up to his 18-20mins ppg pace by season's end and stay healthy! Got to get the Sedin's rolling too..

Not having those 2 is why Schneids was faced with so many shots. They add so much to the team defensively. <3 them

Yeah, a good, statement win against a solid team.

Don't get me wrong, the BLUES will be a tough out in the 1st round for someone, but STL hasn't won a regulation game against a top 4 team in the WEST yet this season. This is one reason I'm not completely terrified of them...although they could easily force 7 straight games of OT. Conversely, VAN is 0-2-1 against SJ [our most likely opponent if it isn't STL].

I don't know why SJ has given us so much trouble. At least we're guaranteed to be in every game against STL as they simply don't score enough to put anyone away early.

    Huh. Surprising. Good post.
I was kinda hoping for SJ. Maybe I should reconsider.

I have a question for you, Canucks fans. How do you see the management comply with the cap next season? With Luongo still with the team, their situation is tricky.

Who is likely to be bought out?
Are there trades options to explore?

    Just curious.

    Lou and Booth or Ballard.

With Corrado coming up as a cheap option (600,000) I see Ballard being expendable.

Not sure what will happen with Raymond or Lappy as well. Both UFA. I think they resign Lappy - he only makes 1 million - good 4th line center.

Also Manny Malholtra is a UFA and I doubt he is resigned.

It will be interesting whether or not they can keep Roy.

    They have to resign Tanev.

It will be a busy summer for Gillis.

Is a compliance buyout for Lou a real option? Will the owner be willing to sign a 27M$ check?

I thought that Ballard and Booth were two likely options. But evene if they trade Luongo the Canucks will have to take salary back. So they will still have something like 6 spots to fill (including pending RFAs and UFAs) with about 8 or 9 millions to play with.

    Unless I am missing something?
