Ryan Kesler (shoulder/wrist) could be back sooner than originally thought.
Kesler had off-season surgery on his shoulder and wrist and was progressing slowly but GM Mike Gillis said on Sunday that Kesler has had three very good weeks. "His spot isn't going to be vacant for a long period of time," Gillis said. "Ryan's had a really good three weeks, although you never have a definite time table on these things. He's a competitor and I know he wants to play." This is good news for Kesler owners and we suggest he is worth a late flier this season, especially in keeper leagues. Jan 14 - 12:01 PM

For the goalie problem in Van who do you guys see getting the more playing time to start the season? Van has 4 games this month and since Van is trying to shop Luo around will he get 2 games or maybe 3 out of 4 to get him going so they can move him..I have Schneider but not sure if I want to start him for the 1st month untill Luo is gone.I do have Hiller and Smith as well for backup till Schneider takes the #1 in Van.

I think Schneider starts Sat, Luongo Sunday, and from there they go with whoever plays best. I still think RL is moved before Friday.

    Boy I hope you're right.
Selfishly, I need him in a starting gig for my dynasty team.
The Canucks need a fresh start to the new season without the constant drama.

I'm not convinced it'll happen though.

maybe the price just went down for Lou with Booth out,
that second line looks weak for sure.

I figured Bieksa would be on PP2.

What are people's thoughts on him this year, is another close to 44-point pace campaign in order or does Garrison hurt that possibility?

Dobber has him down for 17 points, less than Edler Garrison or Hamhuis -
    with 42 games played.

Personally I think Edler or Hamhuis have the same odds as Bieksa for getting hurt, Hamhuis has already had groin problems.

As far as Bieksa's numbers go, that will depend on how Garrison does in his first few games on the number one PP.

I suspect that Bieksa will be given the green light to join rush more often to start to season, someone has to help the second line score!!!

Speaking of PP, I took a chance on Hansen off the wire.

Think they will give him a good shot on the top unit? Solid sleeper, if so.

Not sure if this has been brought up before. Could part of the reason Lou has not been traded is that Lack is injured (2 months so far) and the Canucks dont have a quality backup beyond him if they make this trade?
