Fun fact, the Leafs are 3rd in the league in Goals per game, behind only the Pens and the Lightning

Omg, am I happy they only let in 1. It was also kind of a weak one, but only 1 against the Bruins is good. Like the opening segment of the game said, whenever the Leafs seem to be turning it around, they end up playing the Bruins. Which usually ends up in a losing skid. That game was huge for the Leafs. Out of their 16 games played, they’ve lost 5, and 2 of them have been blow outs. 1 ate the hands of the Bruins, the other at the hands of the Penguins. We got our 1st redemption win last night, can they keep this rolling?

Leafs are +10 in goal differential (3rd in the east behind Pitts and TBL), 7-2-1 in the last 10 (tied for 3rd in the league with St Louis at 8-2)

Leafs didn't salute the fans at the end of the game. Seemed like a concerted effort. This could go over poorly...

If fans want to disrespect them when they play bad, the players can do what they want. A true fan is with the team through thick and thin, a poser fan is there in the wins, but gone in the loses.

Saluting the crowd is a bit odd for me. Half the crowd isn’t there anymore when they do it.

People are making a mountain out of a mole hill. I personally think the salute is dumb and to be honest the atmosphere in the ACC last night didn't deserve any recognition from the players. I am all for the players saluting the fans when the crowd is great. But If they salute every time regardless of the atmosphere it becomes a hollow action. The Toronto media can always find something to pick fault with.

I personally think the salute at the end of the game is silly. However, for a team to go out of their way to make sure that they do NOT salute after a win is, intentional disrespect. To me, that's brutal. Yes, somebody threw a jersey on the ice, yes some fans booed and were disrespectful. However, there are a LOT of fans who ARE respectful. There are a lot of kids who are watching, wide-eyed with amazement as they discover hockey.

It also looks like the idea might have been orchestrated by Kessel and Phaneuf. They are both supposed to be leaders out there. Phaneuf makes how much? He is not playing to the level that his salary pays him. Who's disrespecting who here? The Leafs have have a LONG run without a lot of success; you can't understand the fan's frustration? Somebody threw a jersey on the ice; get over it. These fans are paying your salary which is too high for what you are delivering, anyway. As I have said, there are a LOT of fans out there who ARE supporting the team. How about showing them the respect that they deserve?

Saturdays win didn’t like half the team salute? And in the game where they didn’t salute, did you see (I think) Franson start to go to center and then look back and turn around and skated off. Almost like not everyone was on board for this idea? But again, I don’t care for the salute. I rather the team show up to play to pay respect for me as a fan. Like Don Cherry said, they better win every game from now on if the Leafs went with that to change the routine up, otherwise it’ll look reaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllly bad.

Like how quiet we are when we go on a hot run but the second we start losing 2~3 games it's panic mode again.

How's Lupul looking any chance he ever finds himself on the second line with Kadri? I mean Winnik can't stay there all year

Lupul was hot and then for some reason he got demoted to play with Clarkson and Holland. I think Carlyle hates him.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

That Kadri line is on fire right now. Winnik on that line makes Kadri play way better defensively. I don't know if it's his play or leadership skills but Carlyle is obviously not going to mess with that line right now.

I don't take it as a Lupul demotion but rather of how good that line has been. Lupul Holland and Clarkson line is even generating chances and it'll be interesting to see where Komarov ends up.

Lupul, at this point, is simply the odd man out.

It’s more promotions then demotions if that makes sense. Panik will prolly be scratched, Winnik back on the 4th line and Komarov on the 2nd/3rd. 3rd line if Lupul earns the promotion.

Santo Kadri Winnik line is not being touched for the near future. It has been our best line for the last handful of games.
