Leafs play Ottawa, Montreal, Boston 5x each. Buffalo 4x. And it seems every other team in the East 3x.

Training camp battles are going to be very interesting. Besides the fact that everyone and their mother is waiting on a potential Luongo deal, there are some good storylines to watch.

Keep an eye out for Komarov, who I am convinced makes the team.

Who would become the first Estonian born player to make the NHL.

Heres hoping he's slightly less religious than this former Canadian Born Estonian NHLer:
July, 1978 at the age of 24, after just two seasons in the NHL (with Colorado and the Pittsburgh Penguins), Edur retired from professional hockey to devote his life to the religion of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Edur felt that he was unable to serve God fully while playing professional hockey. Although he was offered a contract by the Penguins that would have allowed him to skip all games played on Sundays, Edur declined, viewing dedication to God as more than a one day a week obligation.

Been hearing that Burke's firing had been a long time coming. Nonis was always meant to take over for Burke, as the Leafs needed a way to distance themselves, in title alone, from Burke when/if the Steve Moore case made it to trial.

Its just a remour and carries no weight, but I put much more stock into this than him being fired for not pulling the trigger on Luongo.

Randy Carlyle suggests that Bozak-Kessel-Lupul combination more or less set in stone at this point.

Komarov is a pretty good bet to make the team on the 4th line and could surprise on the 3rd.

Hello Leafs fan, i come in peace.

Quick Q, where the hell is Lombardi and his $3.5M salary?!

I have him on a deep fantasy league..wandering if i should waive him.

    Thanks!

Hearing Rielly and Frattin will be the Leafs cuts today to get to 23-man roster. Practice starts at 11:30 so we'll know for sure then.

    Not sure if everyone is.
Ive never liked that contract for a team that is not close to challenging for the cup.
    Stay the course Nonis.

Haha looks like Gillis is getting desperate:

Looking forward to seeing Kostka, Holzer, Kadri and Komarov with the Leafs.

    2) Orr made the team over Frattin. Huh?! At first I was really mad about this, but having thought about it more, I guess they want Frattin to play a tonne of minutes in the AHL rather than getting benched regularly in the show.
Frattin has two more NHL games until he is no longer waiver exempt. They want him to prove his worth in the AHL and then get called up.

Nonis or Carlyle said that Frattin is an NHL player about to play in the AHL, and he can show how valuable he is.

well looked, as expected very shinny like at times. But alas Leafs are clearly the better team(atleast tonight).

Kadri and kostka have really played well. Scrivens is solid.

For Montreal Emelin is a beast.

Leafs practice lines shuffle: JVR moved up to 2nd unit w/ Grabovski & Kulemin while MacArthur now with Kadri & Komorov

Jake Gardiner joining the Leafs today for his first full practice.
Glad about JVR, the Grabovski line was playing way to much on the periphery last night, they need someone who will go to the slot hard and crash the net if need be, JVR could play that role. MacArthur looked like he had lead in his skates most of last night.
