THanks Lucafen. I don’t normally include trade advice here, and I wasn’t looking for “well rounded” advice. I am specifically looking for T.O. Homer perspective.

fair... Laine has more name value at the very least, which is why you should be able to get more than just Nylander. I'd ask what that owner wants for Willie - if you're willing to part with Laine 1-1, you should be able to land him. Hell even I would trade Nylander for Laine. 1-1.

    right now:
    Laine
    Nylander
Marner - his 4th line status is hurting his value. if he sticks a couple more games without producing he could be reaching fringe buy low territory as owners may get nervous about sophomore slump with him.

With the +/- as 3pts (half the value of a G/A, so pretty high need for a good +/-), and the PPP, Nylander for Laine is prolly pretty even.

Last yr without GWG, Nylander out pointed Laine by 18. So, wouldn’t be an actual outrageous move, but I think you can get more for Laine

    Laine vs Nylander

Are they that far apart ?

Given I own matthews, i’m eager to unite him with his line mate and capitalize on their chemistry. But I ‘d have to buy high.

Laine could do it. MAYBe MARNER.

I MEAN, AM i crazy? THese two are shaping up to be dominant. WHEN is the right time to jump on him?.
You don't need to post this question in the Toronto Maple Leafs thread to get Leafs homerism. You can get that just be starting an actual thread too.

now now... that's close to being a "Troll" like post.

You're better than that Mr. Axeman!

In all seriousness, I actually enjoy watching the Leafs this year. It's like watching NASCAR. Tons of speed, lots of action and you wait for the crash to happen before the breathtaking finish. They are fun to watch.

And believe me, there's a difference between trolling and making jokes.

I know you're not taking that comment from me seriously, as I did not take yours. Just to be clear.

Yeah, they're tons of fun to watch. Unfortunately, the Oilers need to find their footing out of the Gate. I'm very eager to one day see a Leafs/Oil final! One day, in the future.

Best and most exciting Canadian Teams there are IMO... and given this household of mine was a Leaf/Oil household...when both were crap... IT'S ABOUT TIME!

Call all leaf fans.. I might regret that statement soon lol

But can you all tell me about Gardiner? Is he on the top pp? Will he lose the spot if he has it? What type of points do we see from him for the next few years? Does he add decent hits/blks.

    Thanks all

He had top PP last season. He's sharing it with Rielly this season. 50/50. Wouldn't surprise me if loses it to Rielly next season.

I'd peg him for 45 points. He's good for nothing else... his laughable defense makes him too much of a liability.

Saw that the Leafs had a scout at the Avs vs Stars game last night. Wonder who they were looking at.

Benn and Seguin most likely. And MacKinnon probably as well. They're all going to Toronto.

I'm guessing they were looking at Duchene because an organization wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't looking at Duchene. Even an offensive gifted team like the Leafs should be looking at him. I don't think for a second they are actually fully interested tho. But we all know how much Babcock likes Duchene, but yeah, 0% chance they are a realistic destination for Duchene.
