Treated one of my office minions to a game last night... awesome game to attend live. First one I've been to all year, surprisingly.

Didn't have high hopes against the league's hottest line of Mack/Duchene/Filler, but man did we handle them! I love the way Babcock has these guys playing lately (even though their record doesn't reflect it)... I can only imagine how good they'll be when he has some real talent to work with.

I'm actually embarrassed to admit it, but for the first time in as long as I can remember, we had a couple of guys out there who's names I've never even heard of... Froese, Marincin, etc. Shows how much I've been following them this year haha.

...and yes, that's a Kessel jersey *hangs head in shame*

It’s alright, I’m assuming both are fakes based off the long strings around the necks? Better to have spent $50 on a jersey of a guy who then got traded then to buy a real $150 one then to have them traded. My Lupul, JvR, and Domi ones are fake. As well as a Bautista one. No way am I paying for a full priced jersey right now.

I'd rather not disclose who I work for as I'm an executive at a publicly traded company.

Those are our corporate season seats (so I don't pay for them). Our Blue Jays ones are even better... literally front row right behind home plate - you're on live TV the entire game.

Sparkles gets the Shutout and the first Leaf ever to do so in his debut. Really nice to see him show his emotion when he was told this by the reporter.

So happy for this Guelph Storm Alum. Great character with this stand up guy. Heart felt emotion afterwards In Interview. How can you not cheer for this kid (unless your name is Jon Bernier).

Hope he gets another start before likely getting demoted when Reimer is 100%.

I read that he’s a Habs fan too. If anyone really questions why Orig-6 teams are a bit more special than others (people who were questioning Babcock when picking an Orig-6 team over Buffalo), there’s some evidence. A fan of a rival Orig-6 team getting emotional breaking a record.

Man the Leafs are fun to watch lately.

If they play .600 hockey the rest of the way (they've been playing .625ish since Nov 1st) they'll still miss the playoffs however.

Some might say that's bad for a rebuilding team (draft pick) but I like the way Babcock has them playing. Could lure some good free agents aka Stamkos. I had to.

    Impressive group lately.

    Shouldn't be.

This is the best they've played in a couple seasons.

I watch as many games as I can. The thing that is very apparent is that this is Babcocks doing. By that I mean without him, this team is 100% in last.

You can just tell it’s the lack of talent that’s keeping them down and their start to the year. A player could be wide open in the slot and he won’t score. When talent comes in those are in the back of the net.

I love watching them play this yr, because they look really good in losing efforts, and really good in games they win. Rarely have I seen this team take a game off.

You sound surprised?? Leafs nation has been dead since Mats Sundin left..

They are definitely building up their prospects pool, so the nation should be waking up soon enough!!
